He's there, even when you don't know it!
There are moments in our walk with God where there is perfect clarity, and concepts like the one I'm about to talk about become so perfectly clear.
The picture to the left is of a tree (obviously). Its a Bradford Pear approximately 35-40 feet tall. Myself and my friends Aubry and Noah were unloading a TV into my house. It was in the back of the truck, we picked it up, placed it in the house. Then, they left, got in their vehicles and drove off. Literally, and I'm not kidding, no more than 30 seconds have they cleared out the tree fell in the exact spot we were standing in the truck as we took out the TV. I had just closed the door and gone to the back room of the house when I heard the crash.
What stops a tree from falling for 30 more seconds? I'll tell you what does. God.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
"But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one."
Everyday in your life, the evil one is plotting against you. He is described as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. But we have a God who is stronger, wiser and loving that watches over us. (Psalms 121). This protection is around us constantly. Even when we don't realize we need it, God has angels assigned specifically to protect YOU.
Noah (one of the friends helping me) brought up this story. In Job 1, Satan is petitioning God to remove the protection that was surrounding him.
Job 1:10
"Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land."
For him(satan) to know that you're protected, hes obviously warring against you and failing! As believers we have the benefit of having a God on our side that isn't a passive, sitting on the sidelines Lord. He is attentive to His people. He listens to our prayers, He rides with us into our daily battles, and He comforts us in our weaknesses.
Even when we don't ask for it, and even when we don't know we need it, He is there. Come to find out, when the Bible named God "Jehovah Jireh"(יְהוָה יִרְאֶה). It really meant it.That translates to "the Lord will provide". He is our God of provision. Go figure.
Clarity is wonderful, and He is amazing.
Blessings,
