You are not alone!
Here is some insight into more of who I am. I'm a very extroverted person. I am like this for a couple of reasons. One, I love people. Secondly, I hate being alone. When I'm alone for prolonged periods of time I can feel fear, sadness, and for me even pain as I'll become anxious.
You see we as people require stimulation. Mental, physical and spiritual stimulation is required to keep us happy, healthy and enjoying the lives around us. God doesn't want us to be alone either. Throughout the Bible God is telling us that its not good for us to be alone.
Genesis 2:18a
"The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone..."
There are things that happen to our minds when we're alone. There was a study done in the UK where individuals were put into isolation to show what happens when a person loses the stimulation that surround them. This was a short 48 hour test. They were tested in multiple scenarios including darkness, sleep deprivation, being completely alone, losing certain sense and other tests.
This study found that when we aren't surrounded by people and different stimuli, our brains begin to slow down. The study found that darkness accelerates this process. Symptoms after this 48 hour test included memory loss, disorientation, hallucinations (the ones that were put in the darkness), anxiety attacks and their brains struggled with an ability to process information.
Theres a reason God not only calls us to have fellowship with friends and believers, but also with Him. The Bible is literally filled with instances of God teaching us this example. God tell us to be strong and courageous and that he will never forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). Solomon taught us that it is better to have a friend and partner to work with (Ecclesiastes 4:9). God's spirit dwells in us, and He call us His temple (1 Corinthians 3:16). Everywhere He is telling us we are cared for.
We don't have to be alone! God has given us friends, family and people in our lives to support us. Not only that, He promises that in Him we will find the peace, comfort, joy, happiness and goodness that we need! No matter who we are, where we are, or what is going on in our life God promises He will be there. I leave you with this, this is a promise from God.
Psalm 91:1-6
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday."
I can't add anything to that, nor would I want to. God bless.
